Getting to Know Motorcycle Maintenance Series, Class 1: “General Storage and Routine Maintenance Procedures”

This indoor, 2-hour interactive discussion is one of a series of winter classes aimed to expose riders to general motorcycle maintenance topics that every motorcycle owner should know. The class includes demos of live maintenance on an actual motorcycle and is meant to be relaxed, fun and interactive. Attend one class or, better yet, the whole series! No certifications are issued for this course.

Some topics to be covered in Class 1: “General Storage and Routine Maintenance Procedures”:

  1. How to treat fuel and why it is so important.
  2. How to preserve the life of your battery
  3. How to properly check and change your oil, and when to do it
  4. Hands on demonstration and RiderCoach Q&A

Class location: 20 Heritage Dr, Harrisonburg, VA 22801 (in climate controlled classroom)

Instructors for this class are experienced motorcycle operators as well as RiderCoaches nationally certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) to teach the Basic RiderCourse and are here to impart a general knowledge of motorcycle maintenance to the average rider interested in learning to maintain their own motorcycle. For more specific maintenance issues, we encourage riders to refer to their own motorcycle owners’ manual or a certified motorcycle technician.
